After 19+ years working in a variety of libraries and roles, I moved to the east coast in 2022 to pursue a new career path in fiber.  I'm currently a freelance knit and crochet instructor teaching classes for ages 5-95 at multiple venues.  I'm passionate about making fiber craft accessible to everyone, and teaching absolute beginners is my jam.  

In the past I wore many library hats: Director of Youth Services for a large metropolitan library system in Ohio, Head of Children Services for a small county-wide library system, Assistant Manager of Customer Service at a stand-alone library, as well an Adult Services Librarian, Teen Services Librarian, and Children Services Librarian respectively. I spent 2+ years during my undergrad studies working in both Acquisitions and Government Documents at my university library.

I taught knit and crochet classes part-time at JoAnn for 3 years and led free community classes in most of my library places of employment. To date, I've been teaching knit and crochet in some capacity for 18 years.
